1. Who we are

Friendoo is a social audio/chat platform connecting users with verified female hosts for meaningful conversations. The platform is operated by Friendoo ("we", "us", "our"). For questions: support@friendoo.app.

2. Data we collect

• Account data: Name, phone number, email address, date of birth, gender, profile photo.
• Profile data: Bio, interests, preferred languages, city.
• Usage data: App activity logs, session timestamps, coin balance, call metadata (duration, timestamps — not audio content).
• Communications: Chat message content. Voice call audio is never recorded or stored.
• Device data: Device type, OS version, app version, IP address (for fraud prevention).
• Location: City-level only, used for host matching. Exact GPS is never collected.

3. How we use your data

• Create and manage your account.
• Verify female host identity (mandatory).
• Match users with hosts by language, interests, and availability.
• Process coin purchases and host payouts.
• Enable real-time chat and voice calls via Agora.
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and policy violations.
• Send transaction confirmations and safety alerts.
• Improve the platform through anonymised analytics.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Firebase (Google): Authentication, database, cloud functions, analytics.
• Cashfree: Payment processing. They handle card/UPI data — we never see it.
• Agora: Real-time voice and chat infrastructure.
• Law enforcement: Only when legally required by valid court order or government directive.

5. Host verification data

Hosts must submit a government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, or Voter ID) for identity verification. This document is:

• Stored in an encrypted, access-controlled storage bucket.
• Reviewed only by authorised Friendoo staff.
• Deleted within 7 days of approval or rejection.
• Never shared with users or third parties.

6. Payment data

All payment transactions are processed by Cashfree Payments India Pvt. Ltd. Friendoo stores only: transaction amount, order ID, timestamp, and coin amount credited. We never store card numbers, CVV, UPI PINs, or bank account details.

7. Cookies & analytics

The Friendoo mobile app does not use browser cookies. Our website uses essential cookies for security only. Firebase Analytics collects anonymised, aggregated usage events to help us improve the product. You may opt out of analytics in app settings.

8. Data retention

• Active account data: retained while your account exists.
• Chat messages: retained for 90 days, then auto-deleted.
• After account deletion: all personal data deleted within 30 days.
• Financial records (transaction logs): retained for 7 years as required by Indian tax law.

9. Your rights

Under applicable Indian data protection law, you have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data.
• Correction: Fix incorrect information in your profile.
• Deletion: Delete your account and data via the app or by emailing us.
• Portability: Request your data in a portable format.
• Objection: Object to certain uses of your data.

10. Children's privacy

Friendoo is strictly for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we discover an underage account, it will be immediately suspended and all associated data deleted.

We protect your data using: Firebase Security Rules with role-based access, HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit, payment signature verification (Cashfree webhooks), and Firebase App Check to prevent unauthorised API access. Despite these measures, no system is 100% secure — please use a strong password and report any suspicious activity immediately.

12. Changes to this policy

We will notify you of significant changes via in-app notification at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use of Friendoo after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Friendoo ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use, our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years of age to use Friendoo.
• You must provide accurate, truthful registration information.
• Only verified female users may register as hosts.
• You must not be barred from using the service under applicable law.

3. Account registration

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• One person may hold only one account. Multiple accounts may be banned.
• Notify us immediately at support@friendoo.app if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Coins and payments

• Coins are virtual in-app currency with no real-world cash value and are non-transferable.
• Coin purchases are processed by Cashfree Payments India Pvt. Ltd.
• Coins are non-refundable except as stated in our Refund Policy.
• Call pricing: Normal Host ₹5/min; Star Host ₹10/min (promotional rate ₹7/min may apply).
• Unused coins expire after 12 months of account inactivity.
• Friendoo reserves the right to modify coin pricing with 7 days' notice.

5. Host program

Only verified females may apply as hosts. Hosts are independent contractors, not employees of Friendoo.

• Normal Host: Earns ₹3/min. Requires 4.0★+ rating and 50+ minutes of completed calls to be eligible for Star.
• Star Host: Top 10 performers per language, promoted monthly. Earns ₹4.5/min. Receives priority matching and a Gold badge.
• Host earnings paid weekly every Monday via UPI. Minimum withdrawal: ₹500.
• Off-platform payment solicitation is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate permanent ban.
• Hosts may be downgraded or suspended for rating violations, misconduct, or inactivity.

You agree to use Friendoo respectfully and lawfully. The following are strictly prohibited:

• Sharing, soliciting, or distributing sexually explicit content.
• Harassment, threats, bullying, or hate speech of any kind.
• Attempting to make or receive payments outside the Friendoo platform.
• Creating fake profiles, impersonating others, or using bots.
• Recording, screenshotting, or distributing conversations without consent.
• Attempting to access other users' accounts or system data.
• Sharing personal contact information (phone, social media) in-call.
• Any activity that violates Indian law, including the IT Act 2000 and POCSO Act.

8. Content ownership

You retain ownership of content you create on Friendoo. By posting content, you grant Friendoo a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display and distribute it solely for operating the Platform. We do not claim ownership of your content.

9. Safety and moderation

Friendoo employs a 24/7 moderation team. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours (2 hours for critical safety issues). Violations may result in warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent ban depending on severity. See our Safety Center and Community Guidelines for full details.

10. Disclaimers

Friendoo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not responsible for the conduct of individual users or hosts beyond our published moderation policies.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Friendoo's liability for any claim arising from use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid for coins in the 3 months prior to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.

12. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the app settings. Friendoo may suspend or terminate your account immediately for material violations of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases and any unused coins are forfeited.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Tamil Nadu, India. We encourage resolving disputes amicably — contact us first at support@friendoo.app.

14. Changes

We will provide at least 7 days' notice of significant changes via in-app notification. Continued use of Friendoo after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

All coin purchases on Friendoo are final and non-refundable, except in the specific situations listed below. By purchasing coins you acknowledge this policy. We are committed to a fair resolution process for all disputes.

2. Eligible refund situations

• Failed transaction: Your account was charged but coins were not credited. Refund issued within 5–7 business days.
• Duplicate charge: You were charged more than once for the same transaction.
• Technical error: A platform bug caused coins to be deducted incorrectly during a call or chat.
• Unauthorised transaction: A charge occurred without your knowledge due to account compromise (must be reported within 48 hours).
• First-time buyer guarantee: If you are unsatisfied with your first coin purchase, contact us within 7 days for a full refund — no questions asked.

3. Non-refundable situations

• Coins already spent on calls or chats.
• Buyer's remorse (change of mind after purchase).
• Account suspension due to policy violations.
• Expired coins (after 12 months of inactivity).
• Refund requests made more than 7 days after purchase.

4. How to claim a refund

2. Include: transaction ID or order ID, date of purchase, amount, and reason for refund.
3. Our team will respond within 2 business days.
4. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method.

5. Processing time

• UPI refunds: 2–5 business days.
• Credit/Debit card refunds: 5–10 business days (depending on your bank).
• Net banking: 3–7 business days.

6. Host earnings

Host earnings are calculated based on completed call minutes and paid weekly. Earnings from completed sessions are non-reversible. In cases of confirmed fraud or policy violation by a host, earnings may be withheld pending investigation.

Friendoo is a safe space for authentic human connection. We believe everyone deserves to be treated with dignity. Our community is built on respect, honesty, and mutual care.

2. For all users

• Be respectful: Treat hosts as real people. No insults, degrading comments, or verbal abuse.
• Be honest: Use your real identity. No fake profiles, impersonation, or misleading information.
• Keep it safe: Do not share your personal phone number, social media handles, or home address in calls or chat.
• No solicitation: Do not attempt to pay or meet hosts outside the app. This results in an immediate ban.
• No explicit content: Friendoo is not an adult platform. Sexual content, requests, or conversations are prohibited.
• No recording: Do not record, screenshot, or distribute any conversation without explicit consent.

3. For hosts

• Be authentic: Your profile must reflect who you really are. No misleading photos or false claims.
• Maintain quality: Be present, attentive, and engaged during calls. Repeated no-shows may affect your rating.
• Set boundaries: You have the right to end any call that makes you uncomfortable — use the end call button or block feature.
• No off-platform contact: Never share personal contact details with users. Violations result in immediate ban.
• Professionalism: Represent Friendoo positively. Language, behaviour, and topic choices reflect on the community.

4. Zero tolerance violations

The following result in immediate permanent ban with no appeal:

• Sharing or soliciting sexually explicit content involving minors (also reported to law enforcement).
• Threats of violence or credible harassment campaigns.
• Attempting to doxx (expose personal information of) another user or host.
• Operating a bot or automated account.
• Fraud or payment circumvention.

5. Consequences

• Warning: Minor first-time violations.
• Temporary suspension (24h–30 days): Repeated minor violations or moderate violations.
• Permanent ban: Severe violations or zero-tolerance offences.
• Banned users may not create new accounts. Attempts to bypass bans will be reported.

Use the in-app report button on any profile, message, or call. You can also email support@friendoo.app with details. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours (2 hours for urgent safety issues).

7. Appeals

If you believe an action was taken against your account in error, email support@friendoo.app with subject "Account Appeal" within 14 days of the action. We review all appeals fairly.

For Users

• Verified hosts only: Every host submits a government ID and undergoes video verification. You will never speak to a fake profile.
• Your number is hidden: Friendoo never reveals your phone number to hosts or other users.
• Block instantly: Block any host or user from their profile at any time. Blocked users cannot contact you.
• Report in 2 taps: Use the flag icon on any profile or conversation. Our team responds within 2 hours for safety issues.
• No meeting IRL: Friendoo hosts and users should never agree to meet in person through this platform. Report any such requests.

For Hosts

• Your privacy is protected: Users only see your display name and profile photo — never your real name, phone, or location.
• End any call: You can end a call or block a user at any time, no explanation needed.
• 24/7 support: If a user makes you feel unsafe, report immediately. We take host safety seriously.
• No off-platform contact: Never share personal contact details. If a user pressures you, report them immediately.

Our Safety Commitments

• All hosts verified via government ID + video before going live.
• 24/7 human moderation team — not just automated filters.
• Reports acknowledged within 15 minutes; resolved within 2 hours for critical cases.
• Zero tolerance for explicit content, threats, or harassment — immediate ban.
• Platform activity monitored for unusual patterns using automated safety systems.
• Cooperation with law enforcement when legally required.
